What is feather yarn in fancy yarn?

(1) Choose suitable raw materials and treat them specially.

The raw materials must be made from imported nylon chips to prevent color variations and color differences. The raw materials must be steam-heat-set beforehand; otherwise, curling and color variations will occur.

(2) Replace the cutting blade in a timely manner.

If the blade is not replaced or inspected in time, it will result in severe shedding and uneven feather length. This applies to all feather yarns. (3) Finished Product Inspection.

The finished feather yarn may contain lint-free yarn or oil-stained yarn. These must be inspected by a designated person to remove substandard yarn. Oil-stained yarn can only be dyed in dark colors or treated by the dyeing factory before dyeing.

(4) Twisting and Rewinding.

The twisting should be large, and the frame length should be long to facilitate rewinding later. Otherwise, rewinding will be difficult, resulting in significant waste. The weight of the twisting should ideally be less than 0.25 kg; otherwise, the nylon will become uneven. During the later rewinding process, pay attention to the direction of the lint; the direction of the lint should be consistent.

(5) Dyeing Control.

1. Because nylon raw materials dye quickly, it is difficult to dye evenly, easily resulting in uneven color and color difference. Therefore, during dyeing and finishing, the temperature must be raised slowly with a retarder, and the temperature drop must be well controlled. Different batches of nylon raw materials should not be mixed for dyeing, as this will result in uneven dyeing.

2. Dyed feather yarn should not be dried too much using a drying machine. Over-drying will cause problems such as loose lint, color difference, and poor hand feel.
